What Are Sore Muscles?

Sore muscles happen when you do something new or use your muscles a lot. It’s like your muscles saying, "Wow, that was a great workout!

"What it feels like:

  • A dull ache or stiffness.

  • It starts a day after playing or exercising.

  • It gets better when you move around gently.

What Is an Injury?

An injury happens when something in your body is hurt, like a muscle, joint, or bone. You’ll know because it feels different than just being sore.

What it feels like:

  • Sharp pain or a strong ache that doesn’t go away.

  • Swelling or bruising around the area.

  • It hurts a lot to move or even touch it.

What Should You Do?

  • For sore muscles: Rest a little, stretch gently, and drink plenty of water. You’ll feel better in a day or two!

  • For an injury: Tell a grown-up right away. They’ll help you take care of it, and you might need to see a doctor.

A Fun Tip!

To keep your muscles happy and strong, always warm up before playing and cool down after. This could mean skipping, stretching, or doing a silly dance!

Now you’re ready to play like a pro and take care of your awesome body. Stay active and have fun! 😊
